George Carey

Part of the 'Great God Robbery' is that we have considered him a thing to be argued about rather than Someone to follow and obey. The reason for this assumption is that Western culture has been unduly influenced by the Greek tradition of knowledge rather the Hebraic way of obedience. The Greek tradition emphasises the process of argument by way of deduction and induction, the sifting of the data and the careful examination of the criteria which helps to arrive at whether God exists or not.

Ach so.
